Abington Christian Academy is a board-run school. Board members are area leaders, pastors, and business professionals who have a passion for providing rigorous Christian education to families in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
The board meets at the school on the third Monday of each month at 6 p.m.

B.F.A. - Graphic Design (Minors: Photography, Art History, Spanish) - Marywood University
"To everything there is a season and a time and purpose under the heavens" (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). This is Mrs. Brush's favorite scripture. Brush came to Abington Christian Academy two years ago to teach art following a 15-year career as a graphic artist and an artist manager. For the past 15 years she has also served in the children's ministry at Green Ridge Assembly of God, where she is currently the children's pastor. A native of Scranton, Brush graduated from Bishop Hannan High School and Marywood University. Her favorite things are being a mom, pencil drawing, gardening, painting, and reading. She also LOVES Christmas. Brush makes her home in New Milford with her husband, David, and their four children: Lynnea, Christina, Nathan, and Sam.
Rev. Kevin Compton, Chair

Pastor Compton, also known as PK, is the lead pastor of Trinity Assembly of God in Nicholson, PA, and a part-time Bible and logic teacher at Abington Christian Academy. Before coming to northeastern Pennsylvania, Compton served as director of a Christian preschool and kindergarten and as a children's pastor in western Pennsylvania. He has also been a middle school disciplinarian at a Christian school in Georgia. Compton's hobbies include jogging, exercise, and spending time outdoors with his family. The Comptons especially like the beach, lakes, nature walks, and animals. Kevin and his wife, Tammy, have four children--Baron, Patty, Magenta, and Victoria--three dogs, one cat, two fish, one bird, and many "adopted" neighborhood kids.
Desmond Corey, Treasurer

Desmond Corey brings to the ACA Board a wealth of experience in both education and money management. He worked for 32 years as a mathematics teacher in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, and for 38 years as a self-employed tax preparer. “I like the personal attention that can be given to each student at Abington Christian Academy,” says Corey. Born in Carbondale, Corey currently resides in Uniondale, where he and his wife, Linda, have raised five children. The couple has six grandchildren.

Rev. Glenn White
B.A. – Valley Forge College – Theology/Ministry
Pastor White has served as senior pastor of Clarks Green Assembly of God for 30 years and on the board of Abington Christian Academy for 16 years. A lifelong resident of the Clarks Summit area, White’s dream is to see God’s kingdom expanded by means of lives and influence of His people. Old Testament hero Joshua is White’s favorite Biblical character: “He’s an example to me of courage—courage in following and leading; courage in youth and old age.” His hobbies include spending time with his grandchildren and collecting antique milk bottles. White and his wife, Norma, have two grown sons.
