Meet Our Teachers

Cheryl Hosterman

Pre-Kindergarten 3 & 4

Mrs. Hosterman is in her 4th year at ACA and her 18th year teaching in Christian schools, having previously taught 1st and 2nd grades in Butler, PA. She received a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.S. in Christian Education from Clarks Summit University. Mrs. Hosterman enjoys reading, playing the piano, cross stitching and spending time with her husband, John. They live in Tunkhannock. Psalm 139 is her favorite passage of Scripture.

Dorothy Leach


Mrs. Leach is in her 11th year at ACA She previously homeschooled her own children, then went on to Marywood University to earn her B.S. in Elementary Education. Mrs. Leach lives in Lenoxville with her husband, Bruce, but she loves going to the ocean every summer. One of her favorite passages of Scripture is Psalm 100, which every Kindergarten class memorizes each year.

Stacey Batzel

1st/2nd/3rd Grades

Mrs. Batzel is in her 2nd year at ACA and her 13th year in education. She previously taught at Western Wayne and brings along her experience in learning support environments, including Behavioral and Emotional support classrooms. Mrs. Batzel earned her B.S. in Elementary Education from Drexel University. She lives in Hamlin with her husband, Warren, and she someday hopes to visit the 40 states she hasn't yet seen. Her favorite Scripture passage is the 23rd Psalm.
