Cheryl Hosterman

Pre-Kindergarten 3 & 4

Mrs. Hosterman is in her 4th year at ACA and her 18th year teaching in Christian schools, having previously taught 1st and 2nd grades in Butler, PA. She received a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.S. in Christian Education from Clarks Summit University. Mrs. Hosterman enjoys reading, playing the piano, cross stitching and spending time with her husband, John. They live in Tunkhannock. Psalm 139 is her favorite passage of Scripture.


Jennifer Michaels

First and Second Grade

Mrs. Michaels is in her first year at Abington Christian Academy. Before coming to ACA, she taught first grade for 7 years at a private school in Lancaster County. Once moving to Northeastern PA, she taught at a private school for children with special needs for 1 1/2 years. Mrs. Michaels completed her undergraduate at Lancaster Bible College and graduated with a BS in Elementary Education and a BS in Bible. She continued her education by completing her Masters Degree from Eastern Mennonite University with a MA in Education with an Emphasis in Special Education. In her spare time, Mrs. Michaels enjoys traveling, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family! Her favorite passage of scripture is Galatians 2:20.


Dorothy Leach


Mrs. Leach is in her 11th year at ACA She previously homeschooled her own children, then went on to Marywood University to earn her B.S. in Elementary Education. Mrs. Leach lives in Lenoxville with her husband, Bruce, but she loves going to the ocean every summer. One of her favorite passages of Scripture is Psalm 100, which every Kindergarten class memorizes each year.


Melissa Krauss

Third and Fourth grade

Mrs. Krauss is in her 6th year teaching in Christian schools. She received a B.S. in Elementary Education and a B.S. in Bible from Cairn University. Mrs. Krauss enjoys reading, cooking, drawing and spending time with her family. Psalm 136:1 is her favorite passage of Scripture
